Enzyme‐Free Nucleic Acid Circuits for Fold‐Change Detection

نویسندگان

چکیده

The cover picture shows an enzyme-free nucleic acid synthetic circuit constructed by the toehold-mediated DNA strand displacement reaction, where a fold-change input (top left) elicits similar response (bottom right). This work is anticipated to shed new light on design of dynamic circuits. More information can be found in Research Article Hao Pei, Tong Zhu, and co-workers.

Diagnostic Applications of Nucleic Acid Circuits

CONSPECTUS: While the field of DNA computing and molecular programming was engendered in large measure as a curiosity-driven exercise, it has taken on increasing importance for analytical applications. This is in large measure because of the modularity of DNA circuitry, which can serve as a programmable intermediate between inputs and outputs. These qualities may make nucleic acid circuits usef...

Fluorescent hybridization probes for nucleic acid detection.

Due to their high sensitivity and selectivity, minimum interference with living biological systems, and ease of design and synthesis, fluorescent hybridization probes have been widely used to detect nucleic acids both in vivo and in vitro. Molecular beacons (MBs) and binary probes (BPs) are two very important hybridization probes that are designed based on well-established photophysical princip...
